Possibly.

If your eyes have to adjust to something, it might cause strain. This adjusting can be seeing a bright light in a dark room, but also seeing everything a bit weird. As in wearing glasses when you don't need them and the image getting a tad bit distorted

I only occasionally wear glasses, I only need it see from far.

I notice every time though I get a 'strain' from them after a while, I have to take them off for a bit. Also I get bloodshot eyes.(more so, not the usual couple of veins)

Yea they do. Because they are trying correct our eyes. Not to mention the amplify the amount of light in our eyes so yea we tend to get bloodshot eyes.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

I could never get used to them. I am near sighted since I was like 19 years old and got tested but never could use glasses they make me dizzy. Though I probably need to start wearing contacts since diabetes is straining my vision as it is and I'm getting ever more sensitive to light and only really like to be in fairly dark rooms, direct sunlight literally gives me a headache.

But yeah back on topic, some of us just can't never adjust to wearing glasses.

But I only wear them occasionally :P Like sometimes, and even then not long.

Odds are, your eyes never got the chance to actually adapt to the change. So the "strain" isn't caused by the glasses, so much as it's caused by the fact that the environment for the eyes keep changing every time you put them on or take them off.

It did at first, after I got a concussion this changed. (was months ago) But then my glasses are lik 3-4 years old.

Also, if your glasses are 3-4 years old, then your prescription is likely very out of date. See your eye doctor. Your glasses should not cause strain.

Ah yes this makes sense.

I know, I got an invitation for new tests again but didn't go.

I've been near sighted for the last 14 years and never had an issue with eye strain really, and I've needed glasses all day every day. You might want to speak to your optician if you're having eye strain.
