fear is far from scary.

 

its scared are INCREDIBLY predictable to the point I could say ohh..weird shit is about to happen and 10 seconds later at most it would happen Some of the effects they did were cool but it was far from scary.

 

id Recommend the Resident Evil HD Rerelease. Silent Hill 4 is on PC but it runs like ass apparently and is quite dated.

I played Alien Isolation for about 10 mins with the Oculus Rift and Surround Headphones at a PAX Convention. I basically tried to find the alien so I could just let it be over haha :'c

Good old school jump scares on amnesia with the oculus rift. That was the first game I tried after I got my device kit some years back now

Metro 2033 redux started off scary for me but then the poor lip syncing and kids voices and the fact I haven't played it at night ruined it for me.

I play without rift and with my headset it's scary as f^^k.

You can get the game very cheap now with the season pass.

Seas pass in this game is great, it gives you a shit load of survivor mode challenges which to me, are the main reason to keep playing.

Been wanting to play those two, was going to pick the redux bundle up.

I would buy it on sale, I didn't think the redux was a major improvement but its still worth picking up. The game doesn't want to hold you hand and tell you what to do, there's a genuine fear of running out of ammo, the game will hint when your low but there's no active count and I'd play through the game once and then try Ranger Mode, I started playing though first time on Ranger Mode but spent to much time wondering around not sure what to do but there is genuine fun in having to count your bullets.

Outlast is the only game I have ever played where I was actually scared.

Isolation. It creates a perfect atmosphere without resorting to jump scares. The echoing halls and the lonesome gameplay really adds to the atmosphere too. Far better than competitors. Outlast is painfully bad when you get onto the fact the AI is god awful and it's easy to beat. Metro 2033 is another good horror game. A bit more linear, but at the same time creates a strong atmosphere, which is my opinion creates the basis of a horror game.

It took me a while to get my wife to understand that horror games are scarier than movies.

A movie you can turn away from until the bad part is over, in a game you have to look behind you and you have to go through that door.

We have a good laugh on them now though, alien and outlast get us both.

Doom 3 is meh in comparison to Silent Hill 2 and Amnesia, i am glad you dropped horror games, you would be sent to the mental asylum by these games if you could not handle Doom 3.

lol I'll put my hands up and admit I'm a right girl when it comes to scary games.

took me a while just to play left 4 dead on my own. I'm fine if I'm playing online with strangers!!

but I do love zombie games, there's just a lot of ass puckering
