sure i do, because of thermals and asthetics. But mine is 90% windowed! :P

Not really,because my side panel is just mesh, so there is no increase in dust amounts.

For a while during this summer I had to remove the side panel because the cpu was getting way too hot and the fans where getting way too loud

But now it's back in place since the ambient temperature lowered

It is all about the windows. I use a window on my R4 and it is great.

even though i have windows, i dont use the side panels. its just easier to keep a hand on the temps without em. ...get outa here HWMonitor, awesome stand alone program, i dont need you. 

 

 

pfft dust, will always get into your rig. just clean your filthy pc every other month.

I use my rig to do things....play games...web browse...etc. I don't need it to look pretty and take up half of my desk space to do that!

 

I never have understood why so many people go to so much trouble to build the systems that they do these days (radiators, water pumps, plastic tubing and lighting effects ffs)! For me, just put it together (no I didn't use any silly water cooling for a pc!)...slap the case panels on (no windows btw!) put it on the floor where it belongs and be done with it!

im prob gona have it on at all times because ill be getting the fractal define r4 for my build and that case has a really really good side panel with a noise reducing material.

Modded my window so its almost as big as the side panel itself... it's like its not even there! I always keep it on since there's usually a lot of dust wherever I bring my rig.

In my current rig I don't have a window, but I'm doing a new build with a Define R4 windowed
