Aren't 1638472 debates about this topic enough?

~ 79% will say Nvidia - because of fanboyism

~ 19% will say AMD - because of fanboyism

~ 2% won't vote - because of intelligence

Whichever offers more value at whatever price point I am targeting.

If we're talking board partners, I'll go with Palit on Nvidia side because of Jetstream. I would like to say XFX on AMD side because of their aesthetics, however they have a long history of the most absurd coil whine you'll ever hear, which is a shame. HiS is a good number 2.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Price to performance is king. Where I am and with current prices, that means NVidia until you hit the 980ti, and that may even be changing too depending on what we learn about Fury X. I'm still hoping that the current reviews are based upon poorly optimized drivers.
