Best/trustworthy psu?

Efficiency doesn't really matter but ill probably get gold anyway, but it strictly has to be a 550-750 watt psu that has good quality shit in it so I know it wont blow the rest of my PC up ever, not in 1 or 5 years. Oh and strictly black cables only I hate the yellow ones white cables aren't excluded either.

I'm not spending more then $200 on a psu

Honestly unless I'm trying to save as much money as possible I will always get a Corsair PSU solely for their naming scheme, I can hear the model and know pretty much exactly what PSU it is. EVGA I hear are also pretty good

You should specify Corsair's RM series, if those are the ones you're talking about. The AXi & HXi series are great.

Please don't say stuff like this - neither EVGA, Corsair nor XFX manufacture PSUs. Every single model in their current lineups is made by someone else.

Singling out individual models is fine, but branding Corsair as categorically untrustworthy is simply contradicting what you say in your own post. Example: Corsair's AX 760 and 860 are both actually Seasonic PSUs. However according to you "Anything from seasonic" is noteworthy. So which is it? Are they untrustworthy because the sticker is a different colour now?

Tldr: both EVGA and Corsair have crappy PSUs I wouldn't take for free. That doesn't make the rest of their stuff shit.

You guys are leaving out possibly the most trusted brand of all time along with SeaSonic. FirePower Tech makes great products but their prices are generally a bit higher.

750-1050

Dude, Stop. if you are going to shit on Corsair the least you could do is Back it up with a Review. or PROOF id be quick to Jump back if you could prove that ALL HX750's -1000's are Bad.

the RM 850 is the ONLY one I know of that JG said was Shit. And Corsair Fixed that  rather quickly which JG Re-Reviewed and gave a 9/10

AND neither of those PSU's killed anyone's system. They quite nicely just shut down and Failed to boot. there are far worse things.....

and since we are here spitting out Hearsay.  a Friend got a Bad RM 650 from corsair... they quickly processed his RMA and sent a new one out to him within the week.

sounds like good customer service. So even if you are in the 1-5% that gets a bad Unit. Corsair is quick to Rectify it.

this is not to mention that EVGA and Seasonic are both Great in Customer service and Both Put stickers on good units.
