Posted June 20, 2015 Hi, i have a problem with my minecraft. Without shaders i get between 100 and 200 fps with a x512 texture pack but when i enable shaders it's between 30 and 50. Nothing in my system is maxed out. Gpu, cpu, ram usage in ss: http://i.imgur.com/xAE3BYt.jpg SS taken with: Forge 10.13.4.1448-1.7.10 OptiFine 1.7.10 HD U B7 ShadersModCore v2.3.28 mc1.7.10-f SEUS v10.1 Standard (tried ultra and ultra DOF, results as expected are even worse) John Smith Legacy 1.7.10 v1.2.21 (would like to play with Sphax GrungeBDcraft 512x MC17 + Sphax PureBDcraft 256x MC17) I'm running minecraft with only -Xmx4G argument. If you need any more information i'll provide. I thought that i'm getting cpu bottlenecked but my cpu usage is below 40% at all times. Posted June 20, 2015 Many people apparently don't know shizzle about Minecraft. Minecraft is a CPU bound game. The GPU does very little, the reason you are lagging is either your CPU or RAM. It most probably can't process all the chunks. Try degrading the render distance setting. EDIT: Shaders do increase the workload of the GPU but still you shouldn't be getting a 170 frame drop. Also, check the Shader's config, maybe a certain parameter is beyond maxed (unreasonably so). Posted June 20, 2015 Reduce the texture pack you are using from 512 to 128x or 64x. Then try again. Posted June 20, 2015 Author Try running a texture pack. I know that I get less than 30 fps on my sig rig if I don't run a pack. Reduce the texture pack you are using from 512 to 128x or 64x. Then try again. I tried both of these things, performance is the same on x32 john smith and on vanilla i get 40-60. There is no diference betwen x32 and x512 in performance.
