I think we had some thread like this before. I would put it on my shoes and on the roof so it will make it more resistant to leaks.

Have you considered the cost?  What about the constant UV rays breaking down the barrier? Or the heat resistance? Or the adhesion to roof shingles?  Or the fact that leaky roofs are easily prevented with proper maintenance?  Just sayin  :)

I actually haven't found a truly great use for this type of waterproof spray.  It doesn't seem to hold up very well on outdoor clothing.

You guys I own it. It works, but it is not clear. It leaves a light haze. I bought it just cause. It works really great on metals. Not so good on cloths. You put a base coat and let it dry for 30min, then apply the other stuff and let it dry. It worked on my cheap 15 dollar court classic shoes from Costco, and it works on industrial fans. My sister's boyfriend owns a small Ice cream wholesale buisness in Van Nuys california and he put this on freezer's radiator fans. No more icing problem on that, it's totally work it for only 20 bucks.

It can be peeled off of of surfaces AND IS NOT CLEAR. It leaves a light haze.

The paint that is in your house contains chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects. Not a biggie.
