There is no switch for gaming and not for typing. It's all personal preference, but the MX Brown is a good starting point.

Sounds like Brown or Blue to me

I thought Red was mostly for gaming and not that comfortable for typing? Either way, it's all personal preference :)

It's just personal preference. I have seen people liking Reds for typing, though I can't personally stand them.

Yeah.

Haven't used much of Reds.. But I can say I don't like Browns much, but do like Blues quite a bit

I don't like them particularly as well, but they are a sort of an middlepoint between the linears and the clicky ones.

Red's are designed for gaming but it's funny because many people hate gaming with reds and prefer blues or browns.

Get browns or blues. If you want really clicky keys, get blues. If you want more silent keys but still with tactile feed back get Browns. Does anyone know how clears are? I bought a keyboard with clears, and I'm anxious to find out how they are.
