is this a good gaming monitor ?

ichihgo

With that budget yes thats a good monitor. The main thing for gaming is the Hz of the monitor so the higher the better.

looks like it only has vga input, make sure to take a look at that spec

and it has 60Hz, so that is also a thing to look at.

its a good monitor

Computer's don't make errors. What they do, they do on purpose.

When did they talk about VGA? They were talking about DVI-D and HDMI.

No, its not. Its an absolute piece of garbage in fact. Not worth 10$ even.

Heres a GOOD monitor with an IPS panel and low lag for the SAME 100$:

http://www.amazon.com/UltraSharp-U2211H-21-5-1920-1080/dp/B003ULZ1C8/ref=sr_1_20?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1434304775&sr=1-20&keywords=ips+monitor

That doesn't appear to be in stock on newegg and the amazon references a $98 used product, nothing new.

That being said, Strangerbob is right in directing you towards an IPS panel with low lag instead of a TN POS. I'd recommend reconsidering your price range to get something functional.

All IPS panels, decent brands staying away from AOC Acer and BenQ which have poor QA/QC.

A few 23"

$133 LG 23MP47HQ

$140 Dell P2340M

$140 Asus VX239H

$150 Asus VS239H-P

A 25"

$202 LG 25UM57

You can find the specs and other options on the spreadsheet here
