March 2016 - Will you buy a vessel subscription once your free trial is up?

Syntaxvgm

I know this is weird of me to ask this, but I'm really curious. I noticed that the 1 year trial end march 2016 for me, and I assume everyone else. I'm not sure what I'll do personally. I enjoy being able to see LTT content when it's uploaded, but I am NOT happy with vessel and the package as a whole. I already give a lot more to LTT, and might even go for gold in the future, and I'm happy to donate to LTT because I like what they are doing for the PC community. But I'm not sure I like the idea of paying, though it's only 2.99USD a month, for vessel. I'm not a fan of theirs, and I'm not happy with the experience of using their platform. Additionally, LTT is currently the only channel I watch on there, and I'd rather give LTT money directly instead of paying vessel. So I'm not sure what I'll do when that time comes.

I'd like to know what others plan to do.

I'm going to add an option for that, there is a large chunk of the community that is young and presumably broke

No because I can't afford it, and I don't get the point of purchasing something that comes with ad's anyways.

Also I just watch on youtube so....what's the point?

There's ads on vessel? What the fuck? Seriously?

I do have a pretty aggressive hand made ad blocker for firefox, which is where I watch vessel.

nope

also have a free acc and not using it (except for scrapyard wars, that is my crack, i need it) and i rewatch it on youtube when it's available, it's much more pleasant to watch there

vessel is just meh for me and no meh is worth paying for! :D

on a serious note, i am glad they did team up with vessel if that makes it more profitable for them, it's just not my cup of tea (vessel website that is)

i'm not a monthly contributor, but i did/will try to help them if they'll need it

I have the free year and I don't even use Vessel. Too many disadvantages to YouTube. In the future it could be the superior platform but more people need to convert to Vessel.

I plan on keeping the subscription. 3$ a month is not a lot of money for me, so I'll happily give it to awesome creators.

I would have liked it if they just had a donation button long ago for LMG/LTT/etc. as I would have donated a dollar here and there.  I can't afford to be shelling out $5 per month.  Also quite frankly I have less reason to do so than I used to as I like the product less.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

they're just a few seconds long and are actually interesting. Not the bullshit that Youtube is pulling off. Stop showing me ads for french cars, I hate them and don't have the money to buy them!

I've seen one or two commercials on there when I start a video. They're only like 3 to 5 seconds long.

I checked it out for like a week and decided I don't like it. I wouldn't use it if it was free.

Nope, I don't see the point of paying for something like vessel when I can watch it on YouTube.

I'd sooner pay for an ad free YouTube subscription than another year of Vessel. Unless the ads are strictly for people who had the free month/year, I'm not buying a service to continue getting ads on.

I support LMG's decision to move to Vessel, I would never call them sellouts, but I will not follow them to Vessel.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

While vessel is nice, I have found their service to be buggy at times and I'm not sure if just watching videos a week in advance is something that can justify the monthly charge. If I have a job by then, then I might consider buying the subscription, but there's no definite yes or no.

Since I got my 1 year free sub for Vessel I watched a grand total of 3 video's, 2 from LTT and 1 from unbox therapy and that it, I just don't see in the point of vessel as it gives you no real advantage over say Youtube as LMG uploads to youtube 1 week behind Vessel.

If Linus made the stupid mistake of dropping Youtube completely and went with vessel 100% in the future then I would be sad but I would think about staying a silver member on these fourms

No I won't pay for it once my trial is over. I have only been on vessel once. ( to watch a scrapyard wars vid early) Other than that I have just waited a week for new videos. Its still a new video everyday so who cares? Its dumb having two video watching websites so I only bother with youtube. :P
