tumblr_npphbcLHYS1sgbu3ro3_540.jpg

I think our old cat shit on the CD drive or something

tumblr_npphbcLHYS1sgbu3ro4_540.jpg

230W PSU and a squid of cables

Was surprised that neither the hard drive or CD drive were screwed in, yet the floppy drive was.

According to my parents we bought this off some jackwipe for $2300 back then. That's more than all the computers in this house cost combined.

Know what any of those weird cards or connectors were?

why do so many good cases only come in black and white

The first ??? Picture is of a Trident 64, which according to Wikipedia is an old GPU

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trident_Microsystems#Desktop

The 2nd I have no idea. Maybe some form of Storage controller?

And the one above okay looks like an Audio card.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

In order from the top, The ram looks very much like EDO ram, the first add in card is a modem (more than likely 33.6K), The second card is a trident video card, they where standard affair of the time as they had 16bit colour. The third is a 16bit sound card (most likely SB compatible it looks like the standard affair also),

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

I just took a look at Ebay that WD Caviar 22100, apparently those things fetch for a bit of money.

Your saying what I put here will be under my posts?

Wow, you aren't kidding.

There's a lot of data on that drive, and I don't even know if it still works.

the 1st one looks like internal modem dial-up

Trident is definitely GPU
and the 3rd is sound card, and MIDI input.

Well lets go mad scientists and see if IT LIVES. My mother found an old disc and gave it to me, I put into my computer and found a family video in all early 2000's video resolution-and-compression-ness.

If there is nothing on it or you get data you want off it and make a quick buck.

The connector at the top of the soundcard was a joystick connector D15 i think they were called. Gosh I remember buying another 256 or 512k mem chips so I could have 256 coolers. Never forget my first soundblaster card, how much better Doom was compared to the pc speaker. I think my dau's gigabyte 88 chipset MB actually had IDE on it.
