Whats your typical gear?

So, I know there's a forum already named "What camera does everyone use", but my question is more of what gear do you use as your go to? What lens, tripods, cases, accessories... What do you feel helps you? Lens hoods? Lens filters? Anything unorthodox?

I'll start :D
I just got my first DSLR, so I don't have many lens or accessories yet, but what I do have is...
1. 55-250mm Lens
2. 18-55mm Lens
3. Generic Canon case
4. And I guess I'll tag my camera too... T3i
5. I also have an off-brand battery grip coming in the mail tomorrow.
My go to lens would be my 55-250mm lens, I feel the other leaves me with being to far away.

What do you use?

Hey, you made a pretty good choice with the T3i there being that it's your first DSLR. I've got the T1i with the 18-55mm Kit Lens, and the 50mm f1.8 MK II Prime, which I highly recommend you pickup if you're going to start any portrait photography and you want those blurred bokeh backgrounds. People rate it as one of the best bang for buck starter lenses.

Anywho, I said you made a good choice with the T3i because it has the swivel screen for better angles and is definitely more capable on the video and external microphone end of things. One tidbit I recommend you check out as well is the custom "Magic Lantern" firmware, which lets you tweak many many settings only found in some of the higher end DSLR's.

Lately I've mostly been shooting 35mm and 120 film so in my bag you'll find a combination of:

1. Leica m3 w/ VC lightmeter

2. Leica m6

3. 35mm 1.4 SC VC

4. 50mm 1.5 m mount VC

5. Hasselblad 500CM with 80mm 2.8 CB

6. 2 film backs for the CM (1 for b&w, 1 for color or slide film)

7. Sekonic light meter L-308s (Very handy!!)

8. extra rolls of film usually HP5 or Tri-x for B&W and Portra or Ektar for color.

I do have a digital set up too when I'm shooting for friends or need the crisp clean looking files.  I would carry a combination of the following dpending on what i am shooting:

1. Nikon D300.  Its built like a tank and still does what I need it to do.

2. 17-55mm 2.8 My go to lens.

3. 50mm 1.4 (Sigma) Great lens

4. 35mm 2 A small work horse lens

5. 70-300mm

6. 150mm 2.8 Macro (sigma) This lens creates some of the most beautiful photos.

7. extra Compact Flash cards.

8. SB600 and/or SB900 and light modifiers when I need them
