Hello!

I finally convinced my dad, so I got $430 to spend on a custom loop. Pretty nifty eh?

But since this is a huge investment, I would like to know if everything is gonna work properly... I also would like to know if in my list has any parts that are known to not work properly, I would hate for a 2 grand pc to die...

Also, if you know any other parts that are cheaper and same/better performance/reliability, please mention it. You can use any website.

OK, here is the actual list -

I am about to pull the trigger on May 12, please tell me if ANYTHING is incompatible.

You seem good the only things that would have compatibility issues would be the fittings and tubing. You may find that you might need 45° or 90° fittings as well depending how your setting your loop up. Also you won't need 10 fittings as the pump has barbs on it unless you plan to get a pump top if not get 9 fittings 8 for your loop 1 for filling your loop. Just a question why get red coolant when your getting black tubing?

At first glance I though the fittings were not going to fit, but you are using much thinner tubing then I used in my build, so it will be fine. Everything looks good, but make sure you have room around the fan mounts for that quad 120, as a rad takes up much more space on the side as oppose to just running fans (due to the inbult res, and metal hangovers on the side)

Terve!
I can say that I use 4$ fittings myself. After a year I saw that I only screwed them into the start of the thread.

So, I don't think you have to spend 400 bucks on fittings. I would recommend the 3/8  ID 5/8 OD tubes and fittings though as the current ones buckle more easy (at least from my experience).

Maybe you can post a picture of your plan, so people can see if the things will fit in your case?

Sayonara!

Edit: Oversaw that the coolant is red. I never ever recommend colored coolant, since mostly it looses the color anyway.

Don't get the red coolant. It's only going to show in the res, and it's going to be pretty tough to clean out if you want to re use the parts in a different loop, or with different color. There are red reservoirs you can use. Going with distilled + additives (prevent gunk grown and corrosion) is what I'd do in this case.

Also, are you sure you don't want to get 90° and 45° fittings as well?

K thanks guys I will get the normal version of the coolant!

Also, how will the different degrees of fittings help?

They will help for tight bends so you won't get any kinks in your tubing they can also help make the loop look tidier and easier to put together. On my first loop I got standard fittings and found that I needed a few of them to make the routing better I would also look into getting a drainage system with a ball valve fitting as it will make life easier when you need to maintain the loop.
