That is not a tactical bag, that is a back pack. No molle webbing, ugly as hell looks, etc.

This is a tactical bag, probably cheaper too.

How is it a "tactical" bag? Can I put 7.62mm banana magazines in it?

Spot on.  It's only "tactical", because it has fake MOLLE webbing on the back and those attachable pouches.  I've never seen tactical kit that has two USB pouches lol.

Do I really see a lot of people saying this is overpriced? Relax y'all. If you look at the pricing of other bags like this, it's not a poorly priced bag for what it is. But as someone who walks with a pack for about 3-4 hours almost every day, having a side pouch for a water bottle is essential for me and I'm super disappointed that this doesn't have that. NO SALE! I'd much rather have a hiking/day pack with a laptop compartment.

is this back pack big enough to hold a mid-case computer?

looks like something that'd be great for moving my set-up for LAN events

Has anyone ever had an issue with carrying their laptop in that laptop pouch up against their back? It honestly seems like that with all my engineering books in my bag and my laptop being sandwiched in-between them and my back, that it would be hard on the chassis of the laptop.  Not hard on the screen hinges or anything?  Keep in mind that with all my books and laptop, my bag weighs in at close to 35 lbs

That intro was way too long in my opinion.

I would love to compare to other name brand backpacks such as

ASUS Republic of Gamers Nomad Backpack for All 17-Inch G-Series Notebooks

Everki Titan Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Backpack Fits Up to 18.4-Inch Laptops (EKP120) <--- huge!!! notice the NVIDIA reference lol

Scout backpack from astro

$160 for a "tactical" backpack manufactured by a gaming company? No thanks.

I'll be sticking to my 5.11 Tactical RUSH 24 and COVRT 18 backpacks. I work as an Emergency Medical Technician and a High Angle Rescue Technician. Both of my bags have been thoroughly abused and show little signs of wear.

I would love to see Linus or Luke do reviews on these bags along with some torture testing.

How about a Lan Bag. A simple bag that you can pop your Keyboard, mouse, headphones and cables into their own sleeves, Simple now that would be nice for Lans if it's got all the compartments and its not huge with some nice padding.

U mean like this?

Razer keybaord Bag (add razer mouse pouch to it and u are ready to go)

I'd much rather buy a mission workshop or timbuk2 backpack than this. both will last a lifetime

I have a 2019 macbook pro with 64gb of ram and my gaming pc has been in the closet since 2018

How possible would it be to remove the gaudy Razer logo on the top of the thing? I'd buy it if that's an easy mod.

God I'd get it if it didn't have the razer logo. It's not that I won't have a razer logo cause I hate them, it's just I think it makes it something appealing to steal...

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

  • 11 months later...

I've been using a 5.11Rush 24 as a work bag for about 18 months. I use it daily on my motorcycle, and it has withstood daily wear and tare and a few thunderstorms without an issue. Most days it is loaded about 30%, but sometimes it is loaded to capacity with my 15 inch laptop and overflow items have I no other space for on the bike. I've used a generic nylon belt with the bag as a waist belt on a day hike.

I love the two small pouches for my cellphone, wallet and pocket knives. The sunglasses pouch is also quite handy. The mesh pocket inside the main compartment is excellent to carry soft fruit like a peach or avo without squashing them between your other gear. The hydration pocket can carry A4 docs without folding them, or something like a tablet.

One improvement I can think of is to make the bag interior a lighter colour, because I sometimes battle to find items in an all black bag.

Great bag for the price, I'll probably replace it with another one one day.
