So, I had some free time and decided to make a wallpaper - Feedback would be nice and rate it out of 10.

My feedback would be that the background looks a little empty - I'd enlarge the image behind the logo to fill more of the screen, perhaps with a radial gradient to draw attention inward towards the logo.

Good start, but a few things:

  • Needs something more in the background
  • Logo needs to be higher res (ask the vector version)
  • Alignment of the blocks aren't correct

Looks good.

My feedback would be that the background looks a little empty - I'd enlarge the image behind the logo to fill more of the screen, perhaps with a radial gradient to draw attention inward towards the logo.

 

Not a huge gradient, just a subtle one, I think the logo as well as the image behind the logo should all have been a bit bigger, You have a huge work space and not a lot in it.

In my opinion, black based wallpapers make it hard to see what is on your desktop so I prefer wallpapers to have a little more colour.

I like that but can I ask why the ring for the ramp is crisp, should it not be "feathered" or faded more to blend with the background ?

The gradient tool on Photoshop lets you set the tool on any angle, I set it on vertical - In order to have the "feathered" effect you have to set the line horizontal.
