Why can't...?

ThisIsMyWorkAccount

Why can't people put a well written descriptive "Topic Title"?

I just get annoyed with people posting topics as descriptive as this one...

I vote this should be part of the CoC.

You ask for descriptive titles and then don't do one yourself.

Irony.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

Because clickbaits work better it seems.

But nah, people should just read full posts

Glad you at least understand :)

I firmly agree that this sould be the case, especially in troubleshooting scenarios. I refuse to click on a title that simply says "help" over in troubleshooting. If the title even said "strange noise help," and nothing more, I'm infinitely more likely to click on and have a read.

Descriptive titles give us a preface to the thread. You don't see news companies just saying "Riots" in regards to Baltimore, they give you a breif overview about where the riot is, what the article specifically focuses on (looting/general protesting/another one bites the dust) so you know if it interests you or not.

Not to bring Baltimore into this, they're just the bee's knees right now in the U.S.

I would rather have bad titles then have it where people type everything as the title and nothing in the post

Why would they need a body if they can fit it all in the title?

why would you start a thread when you cant even form enough words to have in a post

So then to post the poster needs to have a descriptive title and a minimum character count for the body?  this way if it is super simple, they will more likely google it so we dont have to.
