Acer Predator XR341CK 34" Curved Monitor

Prlme

I know it's not out yet, but I literally search for it every day to see if there is new info.

I already have the money set aside for it, and I am chomping at the bit to get it :(
Anyone else in my position?

XR341CK = FREESYNC

XR341CKA = G-SYNC

Sauce: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/news_archive/33.htm#acer_xr341ck

Can't help but think the G-SYNC one will be pricey.

G-sync at 75Hz for £1000? No thanks. That basically works out to be £400 extra, just for a G-sync module. Nice looking though.

It was such a fucking disappointment when this turned out to have 75hz instead of the originally announced 144.

All you monitor manufacturers can go suck an uncut dick.

I`ll just wait till there is 120+hz 21:9 IPS/VA monitors.

A 22" 120hz CRT will hold me over quite nicely till then.... none of you garbage peddling fucks are getting my money for any TN shit.

I'm also looking forward to this monitor, though I hate how they seem to have made the back glossy plastic. Just why.

It looks like it'll be a beast though. All the features one could possibly need.

This really pisses me off if Acer really did finalize going with only 75Hz.  What's the point??  Acer should have pressed their hardware engineers to work DisplayPort 1.3 in the monitor and a more viable 21:9 panel to attain at least 100Hz (or more).  G-Sync is superior to FreeSync in every way thanks to the dedicated hardware onboard the G-Sync module that allows for frame buffering.  FreeSync doesn't have this and it shows in every single benchmark comparing the two technologies.  But, is it really worth the extra cost?  That's ultimately up to the individual buyer and their budget.  For me, it's worth it.  I own an Acer Predator XB270HU and love it!  I also own the Acer XB280HK (4K G-Sync TN panel) and the Asus ROG Swift and really like both monitors.  But alas, my fav is the Predator.  I have to keep my fingers crossed that Acer surprises us and the XR341CKA has better specs than what has been shown...

if youre spending that much money on a monitor thats not a big difference

also what is the range of freesync on these monitors? on the last freesync monitor linus reviewed it only had a small variable framerate window which is completely stupid

Glad I didn't wait for this, $1,200 is too rich for my blood. That and it's not 144Hz as the rumors were hoping.

Paying $800 for the XB270HU was hard enough, but I don't regret my purchase one bit.

So we get it in August ...

To bad it will be €1400, the only way that makes me going to spend that much money on a monitor is when I win a brand new pc at a sweepstakes so I can sell my old rig.

Now looking into buying another 34inch widescreen or make a triple monitor/eyefinity setup with 3 Dell 2515H monitors. Pricing for that should be around a €1000 including a stand.
