Ahh, I didn't see that.

As long as he spends as much on the video card as everything else. I think he should do one modest build for fun and practice (this is OP's first build, right?), then a show build.

I think that's a great idea,maybe build a cheap $500-$800 build,maybe even give it away on the forums  :rolleyes: ,just to practice cable management,figure out how to build it (io wires,24 pin,4+4 pin,6+2 pin,graphics card,cpu,installing mobo in case,etc).

300GB west digital

2x2 GB ram

should last you about 10 years.

Give me the 15k and ill build it for you

This is the best build you can get for your money. Period.

I guess, but today's hi-end games like battlefield 2 could benefit from the 2gb, all the better if it's dual channel. but everything above 667mhz is a waste of money

I left out a CPU cooler, because I figure with the remaining budget you could probably build a descent custom loop. lol

How is your monitor? I've never heard of it. I will NEVER go back to a 16:9 ratio after using the PA248Q with a ratio of 16:10.

Here you go: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1g0LE

Put the 2 ssds in raid 0.

A build of this magnitude is ridiculous as is. Don't spend any more than this and save/spend the rest of your money for something else.

Hunt around for a cherry picked 4770k (i'm sure for the right $$$ someone will part with a good over clocking chip). Custom loop + 3x 780 + 1x 512gb SSD + 3x 3tb WD green + 1x 1tb WD blue... Save rest for house deposit, fuel, uni expenses, ect. Technology moves too fast to justify spending more than a certain amount at any given time if you spend 10k today its worth about 5k the next year at the current rate.

Personal opinion though is cancel the 4k screen pre-order get 3 nice 1440p 27" monitors a nice i7-4770k + loop and 2-3 780's to get yourself started and go from there. Far cheaper and just because you have money doesn't mean you need to blow it.

i5-3570k @ 4.4ghz (1.240v) || Asrock extreme 4 || CM Hyper 212 evo

Samsung 840 || WD blue 1tb || WD green 1tb || Powercolor 7870 xt @ (1200 mhz core : 1500 mhz mem)

Powered by a silverstone strider 500w psu in a NZXT 210.

Might as well add LN2 cooling to the binned chip... ;)

I suppose with shaking the right hands for $15k you probably could get a constant enough supply of LN2 to last until the chip burnt out.
