all games can be played at any res......the movies/cable/websites are what you need to worry about.because they'll be made for 1920x1080 or at max 2560x1600.

I would wait a while to see what AMD has, especially since you don't have the monitor yet.

otherwise I would go 2-way titans (you'll be fine playing without AA,or atleast with something like regular AA or FXAA)

go for 4x512GB SSD's

3x3TB HDD's

4770K

Msi Mpower Max

16GB max,would never go 32GB for gaming

some good case that you like

ig he have 15000 dollars why would he get 4770k why not intel extreme CPus?

ig he have 15000 dollars why would he get 4770k why not intel extreme CPus?

because there's no benefit from 6 cores, and no benefit from quad channel memory.

so why would he go for an extreme cpu?

he said he has that much money, not that he's dying to spend it all,I'm sure if he has 9K left he won't crawl into a hole and die.

I was thinking that but the 3GB frame buffer might have issues at 4k.

soundcard was a nice touch.

wouldn't go with win ultimate...no benefit.

the 1500 watt power supply is way overkill,I picked the 1050 because among gold and platinums it was either the 1050 watt gold or a 860 watt platinum from corsair for the same price.

I figured 1050 would give him plenty of headroom in case he decided he needed the 3rd or 4th Titan

You will need a dual CPU board... With a dual CPU board, you will need XEONS, which aren't meant for gaming, but more targeted for workstations.

yeah it estimates wrong.

just for lols I'll esitimate for you.

263 watts per Titan x2

65 watts for 4770K

10 watts per HDD x 3

3 watts per SSD x4

.01-7 watts per fan (lets say 2 watts and 5 fans)

10 watts per ODD

653 watts MAX (furmark and prime95 load)

so yes 1050 watts would have enough for 2 more Titans provided he doesn't run furmark and prime95 simultaneously along with some sort of read/write benchmark stressing all the SSD/HDD/ODD.

because card 3 and card 4 won't be taking 263 watts in gaming,1 and 2 will take 208 average and 238 peak....I'd say 3 and 4 would take maybe 150 each and peak at 190.

Does the 1050W even have 8x PCIe connectors? The AX1200i only has 6.

it has 6,although pretty sure each Titan includes atleast 1x molex to 6+2 pin connector,so he'd have enough.

though if I saved up all my money over my entire life, maybe $1.2k-1.5k.

pretty sure even most of the people who work for a living don't have this kind of cash to blow on builds.....but good for you.

Let's not go there please, I can only end badly.

Let's just stick to the topic shall we? Many of the guys already suggested some excelent builds, @wtfxmitchell being my personal favorite, minus one titan :)

The way I see it, you've got a lot of reading to do in order to learn everything you need abuot current computer components and computer building, so I suggest you start ASAP.

You can start by going on youtube and subscribing to linus tech tips channel, where you can learn everything you need to know about this subject. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXuqSBlHAE6Xw-yeJA0Tunw

Besides that, anandtech, tom's hardware, and hothardware are all good sites where you can learn alot, and in order to build and maintain a rig like that, you better do it.

Intel 4770k@4.6GHz, ASUS ROG Maximus VI Hero, Kingston HyperX Beast 2x8GB 2400MHz CL11, Gigabyte GTX 1070 Gaming, Kingston HyperX 3k 240GB - RAID0 (2x120Gb), 2xWD 1TB (Blue and Green), Corsair H100i, Corsair AX860, CoolerMaster HAF X, ASUS STRIX Tactic pro, Logitech G400S, HyperX Cloud II, Logitech X530, Acer Predator X34.
