Murderbox Available for Preorder

MBX_MKII_FG_21.jpg

The Murderbox MII from xforma has existed for a while but wasn't available for purchase...until now. You can preorder the Limited Edition XFORMA MBX MKII for a starting price of $1250.  Extras include cd/bluray drives, radiator mounts, reservoir mounts, pump mounts and more.

The chassis is an all aluminum unibody  with LED accents at the front which can also house a slimline optical drive, it has 2 brushed aluminum acrylic windowed side panels. It has the necessities like 3.5" and 2.5" drive cages housed in a modular front structure and a solid aluminum mobo tray with reservoir mounting holes. The watercooling support is also quite decent with up to a quad 120 radiator along plus a single 120 radiator supported in the base, the mesh grills on the side panels provide airflow.

Only 250 of these will be made, hence the Limited Edition. What are your thoughts on a pc case that costs as much as a decently built gaming computer. Is the price justified by the premium build quality and features and jaw dropping looks?

I think its supposed to be about 'design' and 'quality', kind of like an Apple product. But quality is easy to manage if its machine manufactured, and to me the design is way too plain, you can have a case custom made to your exact requirements, which is unique in its own right and cheaper-all with the same quality. This case doesn't do much-if anything-to truly justify its price.

$1250? Fuck off. For that kind of money I can build a case myself, to my specs, at just as good quality and have enough for a decent gaming rig.

AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

That's where the slaughter of the consoles and their peasant users is committed, hence the name. I would personally feel safe from 720p and 30 fps if I had it in my room. /s

Seriously, though, I don't really get the name...

Edit: Maybe it is called murderbox because your wife/mother/father or whatever will kill you if they found out you spent $1250 for a damn case :P

It's aluminium unibody (one giant chunk of metal)

No wonder it's $1250

Now you can buy this case instead of the Apple watch!

For 1250 it should have crystal side panels not acrylic
