Being asked for id at my age

I guess, I look young. People think I'm 14 or something. Whenever I go to the bar or the casino I get Id. They then act like I have a fake id and test it. Its really annoying. I even get id at the mall of all places. Seriously I'm 27 now. I don't know what to do. I grew a beard and had my hair out long. Even then they ask for id. People ask me how is high school lol. I graduated 9 years ago. Oh well lol. LinusIdTips. Anyone else have this problem? My friend never gets asked to show his id and he is my age.

I haven't been to the casino in Melbourne for a few years now but when i did go a lot in my 20's i would always get asked for ID, its flattering :) even now in my early 30's people still guess my age to be mid 20's so i guess i look 10~ years younger than i am, that's something to be happy about i think!

I am 21 and have never been ID'd. I got into bars at 18 and 19. 

Lucky. They give me mean looks.

5 foot 7 inches. I can't help it. I'm tall in my home country.

The guy at the casino said I look like a high schooler lol. Also get id at the mall which is 16 plus past 10pm lol. I try to sneak in with the crowd now.

Same problem here some times... Funny thing is I was going to bars and clubs from around 16 and didn't really get ID'd till 18 (Legal age in Ireland)... Sometimes I still get hit for it (Back home anyway).. Now 32!!

 

 

Simple to get around though.. Just carry ID

I've always looked older than I am. Im 24 now. When I was 19 I could get into places and buy beer. I think I get carded as much now as I did then. I think how often people card has gone up. So much pressure from the at has caused businesses to get stricter.

Surprisingly people think I'm mid-20s even though I'm not. Kinda nice. But when I shave people think I'm in high school, which sucks. So I'm not going to shave. :lol:

@GrimNeo are ya skinny then? I could get into bars when I was still 16 but I had help with upperclassmen helping me convince people that I was already 18 :)

I actually did an experiment where I had various kinds of beards/sideburns for a couple months, went clean shaven for a couple months, and then grew out different style beards for a couples months. The only times I got carded was when I was clean shaven, or the bouncer/bartender was a new employee (if I was at one of my regular haunts). I don't why it is, but it is. I just stopped questioning it.

Yep, when I let my stubble grow a bit I don't get asked my ID I noticed.

I'm not skinny. I weigh 190 lbs.

lol. The facial hair makes you look older but I tried this. In my case it does not work. They are not fooled. The mall people make sure to Id me. I'm not 16 lol
