OnePlus One Camera close to Samsung S6?

So the main deciding factor for me is that I want to be able to record 4K and I whip out my phone to take pictures ALL THE TIME. I've been looking at the OPO and the screen is okay, the design is minimalistic and plain so I like the design. Oxygen OS is pretty much stock Android which I love and generally a perfect phone for me. Then you get to the camera, the S6 is obviously a better camera but how much. If its barely noticeable then I'll get the OPO but if its a noticeable difference then I want the S6.

 

The OPO is $349 for a 64GB OFF-CONTRACT

The Samsung S6 is $299 ON-CONTRACT (Must be on-contract)

 

 

I can't decide what phone I want.... HELP!

The more light, the better the OPO. It really sucks in low light scenarios though...

 

I'd say get the OPO.

Just another unhealthy iteration of a decent, but overpriced smartphone (S6) isn't worth supporting IMHO.

Low light is like 3/4 of what everybody take pictures in.

Any mobile camera except the HTC One's ultra pixel one sucks at low light, the S6 wont do much better. I was just pointing out that the OPO's image quality scales with lighting.

 

Also I think that 3/4 is a bit high, maybe half, but if you want good low light pictures you would need a dslr anyways.

The S6 is gonna be better than the OPO though. Will the OPO be better than this photo? (Taken with a Lumia 822)

nope probably not, but it wont be much worse either.

Well I want something that can take better pictures than a $50 phone. Guess I'm just gonna wait till I can save up for the S6.

Let's put it this way. The camera is one of the few weak points of the OPO. So if you are looking for the better camera, go for the S6.

The camera is the weak point of every phone I just want something that in most cases is gonna yield me non-grainy, non-blurry photos both in decent light and fairly dim light. I know graininess is expected with any photo in low light but its also a processing problem, so I'm still at square one, lol

Most reviewers of the S6 seem to think that the S6's camera is extremely easy to use and performs well across-the-board. Cameras are generally a strong suit for Samsung's flagships (except maybe the S5) and it seems hard to do much better than the S6's camera.

iPhones generally have the best or among the best cameras during each generation of smartphones (5, gs4, m7), (5s, gs5, m8), iPhone 6 will probably be better than the m9 and s6. But that's irrelevant because you want android.
