GPUboss question

AlexWJD

So I completely understand that GPUboss is a huge nvidia fanboy, I mean looks at this http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-295X2-vs-GeForce-GTX-970, but is it fair to use GPUboss to compare two Nvidia GPU's or Intel CPU's? Just a quick question, because GPUboss always pops up first when searching between two GPU's/CPU's

CPU: G3258 @ 4GHz GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 OC RAM: 8GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 SSD: Corsair LS 120GB Case: Antec GX500 Mouse: Logitech G402 Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Headphones: Shure SRH440 Microphone: That Zalman Zm-Mic1 that everyone recommends but noone uses

Remember when the R9 280 was the HD 7950? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I dont find them reliable at all, so dont use the site. At all. Period.

You're better off with a better review site like PCper or hardware.info (not sure if the US version has benchmarks too?) or anandtech.com

No, I wont trust anything from there. Use anandtech.com

Thats what I've been doing. It's hard to fight fanboys who use GPUboss :(

Friends don't let friends use GPUboss or CPUboss.

GPUBoss is trash. Never use 'em to compare.

Those benchmarks do make me wonder if they had crossfire disabled...

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

The only explanation I could think of is that they compared only 1 of the R9 290X's in the 295 to 1 970 to compare single gpu to single gpu, but that just seems ridiculous

Generally I don't touch GPU boss. At least CPU Boss has a section of aggregated benchmarks like here.

http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-4690K#performance

Which is about the only thing I actually take into consideration. The 1-10 numbers they assign are pretty horrible. From the page you linked it looks like the aggregated GPU benchmarks are pretty pathetic.

I love their UI, and if they had reliable benchmarks in ANY sort of way i might consider them a 1/2 way decent benchmark site, and i really dont know why no one else has done something similar to what they've done in accord to being able to search and compare one or more GPUs.

But yea, they're aweful with absolutely the worst biased benchmarks and scores you can find lol. They're like Nvidias home site in their benchmarks comparing amd to nvida.

Hell even complaining about GPUbo$$ is nasty.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example.
