Laptop charger question

1NSANET1ME

Hi guys! I received an old IBM ThinkPad T40 without the charger. (It uses a 16V and 4.5A charger) I don't have a charger with these specs, but the one from my Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 fits in the charging port but it's a 19.5V and 6.15A charger. So my questions are the following: Can I try my charger from the Y570 and if so then will it kill my charger or the laptop? Thanks for the answer!

EDIT: NVM, stupid question. It wont work because it needs to be the same voltage :(

Ya, just look for a universal charge.

And @techguru, you should have finished your post with a punchline lol. Keep that rhyme going.
