I got the email and the guitar had scratches around the back of the body, where it's rested against someone, the top side for the body had a bit of a ding out of it, and there was a small dent in the front, oh, and the amp had some damage to the top as well. To me, if I am going to buy a new guitar, bundle or not, I want new, not something that has been used as a display model for a few months. May sound nip picky, but I am a bit. :P

I looks good from a distant picture I got, but I wont be using it from a distance.

That doesn't look that bad. Other than the ding those damages would come with time anyway. 

Both of my guitars and my bass are scratched like hell. 

The only thing I would possibly change are the strings. They might not sound their best if they have been on for a long time. 

 

Other than that I will wish you the best of luck with it. 

Remember, the bass is an easy instrument to learn but a hard instrument to master.

Yeah, they weren't that bad, but I hate buying something that's already got some scratches on like I said in my edit. It would be the same if I bought a snowboard and the base or top sheet had a lovely scratch in it. If I were at the actual store, I would have been cheeky and asked for a little discount, but hey, win some, lose some. 

 

And you weren't wrong about that audio being sucky. :D

Also, is that the Jackson Randy Rhoads guitar to the left? I love those things!

I can't remember exactly what guitar he was using, but it was a Jackson. 

It sounded so fucking good when paired with a Peavey 5150 amp.

 

Ans yeah... Handy cams in 2008 weren't meant for recording concerts. I just thought it was fun to have a video from back then.

I also asked one of my bassist friends what you should start off with. 

She said you should try starting with either Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. Apperantly, they are easy enough for a beginner to play, but hard enough to be a challenge.

Wow 20 hours offline and I come back to over 40 notifications and 7 pages to read.... :P

 

On a side note I just got 11+ hours of sleep and am still exhausted..... :( I can never seem to sleep enough now-a-days....
