I was just going to say it looks like a keyboard from an old prebuilt.  Something someone my parents or grandparents age would have.  

Problem is that it doesn't exactly fit on my dresser

Well I assume Intel wasn't still making new ones so it must have taken this long to sell off the remaining stock

I'm still determined to upgrade to the 4790K. Not ready to upgrade from Haswell yet.

Then wait for the next Ryzen thing... with any luck, it won't be too long (like, <2 years) and it will work properly at launch since it will probably be based on and similar to ryzen, which seems to have been figured out.

I might as well go AMD if Intel keeps fucking up their manufacturing process. Don't overclock the 7700K because it runs way too hot, lmfao gtfo Intel.

Their new 10 core looks interesting tho, that is if you ignore the (likely very high) price, high TDP, and assume the leaks are all accurate.  7700k-level single-threaded performance, but 10 cores instead of 4 sounds very appealing.

I got my 6700K to 4.5ghz on a 7cm tall 20$ heatsink. After delidding of course. It was thermally throttling at 4ghz before.

4GHz?  That's it's base speed though.    I assume the throttling was because you weren't using a good enough cooler on it?

Don't worry because we also don't have it here in PH. I just used a VPN under a Canadian server. I tried signing up but it seems Google knows that I a non-Canadian credit card. ☹️
