Setting the video at 4k and full screen I start showing issues.

My CPU load reaches 100% as well, and it's because of the video/Chrome.exe process.

My internet loads it fine, but the video itself can have skips in playback.

Running a core i5 2500k and GTx 670.

Plays as smooth as butter and only takes a few second to load. Running on a 4790k rig in signature and a 300Mbit/s internet. Around 80% load on CPU (91% max and 69% min) with 10 Chrome tabs open and foobar.

The real question is can your computer handle 4k60fps at 2 times speed?

If your wondering depending on the codec and just that's it's 4K it's very likely that your cpu is doing the decoding. 4K is not standard and there is not yet a codec settled on for it so the likelihood that it's being hardware decoded is quite low.

I can handle up to 1080p @ 60fps with my horrible 12 down 0.6 up connection. I live in the middle of nowhere.

My Internet can't even play back 1440p... MY internet bandwith bottlenecks it.  :(

youtube 4k video quality has finally surpassed the quality of what REAL, uncompressed 720p looks like :)

4690k @ 4.6GHz went to 80-90% usage and the playback was choppy, so what did I do? Open another window of the same video... 100% usage, VERY choppy videos, much fun, such resolutions, wow.

I can't stream youtube in 4K60fps yet but as soon as it becomes avaliable I expect it to run fine on internet explorer/edge. I've never had problems with these two browsers they both seem to be using the GPU instead of the CPU.

Runs perfectly fine for me. It uses all my cores and threads, though:

My computer lags when playing it, but if I play it in 4k 60FPS on my phone - no problem.

My computer can definitely handle it. It's just that Comcast are sociopathic megalomaniacal dickwads. If I were living in Hong Kong, Taipei or Japan, then this would be a non-issue. Or Estonia for that matter, because gigabit fiber is standard.

Thanks, America.

mine cant.. even with 2x 680sli

Your computer certainly can—nearly any modern computer could handle it. But it takes a ton of downstream internet bandwidth. Your video cards are doing next to nothing.

If i tried i bet it would die INSTANTLY. I mean i can run it at 720p60fps with no problem but if i try 1080p30fps, nope.
