Of course not! I run my quad Titan X's on my Intel 486. No bottleneck, runs BFH ultra 144fps.

in single threaded games maybe...all cpu's do when core 1 is at 100% but thats what intel fanboys love so much and why i got a pentium k.
in decent games amd guys love, no it wont.
if you have a game at 4k and need a titan x.......you need a titan x
if your playing the aforemention pos's like dota 2 you're never going  to use that card.

Most games will not hit a i5-4690K's limits until at least 80 FPS or higher. So you may run into a CPU limitation if you're aiming for the vsync cap on a 120 or 144 Hz display, but with a 60 FPS cap you're fine. Your video card itself does not determine if there will be a bottleneck, aside from the Titan X allowing for a higher GPU performance ceiling than other cards.

You own the i5 before the Titan X. This was my scenario, and the 4670K/4690K does not bottleneck the Titan X whatsoever.

of course you play at 4K...at 1080p for example ANY cpu even the i7-5960X overclocked would be the limiting factor in many games...the titan X is such a powerful GPU that no current CPU can max it out in many games...that's just how it is.

1440P or higher resolution of course no CPU limitation except some badly optimised MMO's or ARMA 3, DayZ stuff like that!

4K GSync is, in my opinion, the sweet spot for the Titan X. It can play even the most demanding games (Crysis 3, MLL etc...) at max settings in the range of 40+fps, which is still above the threshold GSync is effective.
