Will a 4690K bottleneck a Titan X

4K GSync is, in my opinion, the sweet spot for the Titan X. It can play even the most demanding games (Crysis 3, MLL etc...) at max settings in the range of 40+fps, which is still above the threshold GSync is effective.

i have not had the chance to experience Gsync...your monitor is gsync? his 40FPS really looking smooth on this?

I have not experienced GSync either, but I do know it's still effective at 40fps. My monitor is 4K 60hz.

i'm very picky when it comes to smoothness...i can't tolerate anything less than 60FPS and it has to be a steady 60FPS with very good frametime variance otherwise i notice every stutters and it annoys me a lot :( that's why i'd probably stick to 1440p..i play mostly first person shooter that's why..

I'm a bit like that, but with 50fps minimums,.. my GPU's over the years have been strong,.. but I upgrade them when most games start to dip under 50fps with no AA applied.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

...i need at least 2X anti-aliasing...some games work well with FXAA...most of the time i like 4xMSAA...i'm VERY picky :(

Yeah I'm picky with AA,.. usually requiring 2x,.. but then again like you said,.. FX/SMAA can work wonders in some cases.

Super sampling/downscaling can be helpful with games that have no AA. But you know this.
