HTC one (m8) is it still good?

hi im jau
Go to solution Solved by Guest,

Yep, still very good. I got one this month.

M9 seems to have severe overheating issues and I find it butt ugly with the gold trim so I personally would not go for the newer M9.

They even say the screen is a bit worse than the M8's screen.

Hi, is the HTC one (m8) still good today? or should I save up for the m9?

Just because there's a newer model of something, doesn't make the previous one any less of a performer. If the specs justify the price for you, the answer is Yes.

At the same time though, if you can afford the M9, then by all means.. Why not?

It all depends on what you're wanting to spend. Just, please, don't be a sheep.. Have a brain.. Read my 1st sentence gracefully!

If you actually care about your photos, I truly say DON'T get the M8

THIS. If you need something that takes high res pictures or video, steer away from the M8. But, if you are like me and couldn't care less about the camera, the M8 would still be a great phone. It does just fine for my pic/vid taking needs, and overall the specs are great.

If u have budget for M9 then go for it, or else consider Z2, Z3 cuz i have used M8 and its crappy 4MP duo camera isn't worth it, i got better results from my Z3, plus i don't prefer sense ui much Sony's ui is near stock and really good but the choice of ui is upto you

The one m8 suffers from overheating issues? I haven't run into any problems yet. But I am about to do some googling myself. I have had the phone around 3 months now, and I would recommend it.

No, but the m9 does.

Also ignore the camera complainers, for normal things like Facebook, Instagram and all those things it's completely fine.

Why not E8?... better specs, better camera, better battery life, cheaper....

Honest question here, really: why not?

I know the OP didn't ask about it but it baffles me how no one ever talks about it but everyone is drooling for the inferior M8...

E8 has a worse camera despite having more MP.

E8 has a worse camera despite having more MP.

I can see that from http://www.techradar.com/reviews/phones/mobile-phones/htc-one-e8-1258657/review/4

The difference is indeed visible, but I'm convinced that that is only while in Default mode, and that, adjust parameters manually, you would achieve a similar quality, no?

And does the difference really justify the attention, disregarding all other specs?
