What is normal?

It means you should give your opinion on what you think normal is.

Normal is a bye product of the human capability to understand and categorise things. For example people used to think the world was flat and that was considered the norm because that was what we had been conditioned the believe. Now it is normal to believe the world is round in the future that definition may change to something else which at some point will become normal to future generations. So in short normal is our ability to feel we understand something to a point where it becomes something we can accept.

Well I know a lot of people who work different days. I guess, if they were always working on Wednesdays, and they just decided to take off one Wednesday. I know it feels abnormal anytime I take off work for a doctor's appointment, instead of waking up at 7am that day to go to work, I would wake up at like 10am or something.

Technically speaking, normal is the mean (possibly modal) average of every stance on a matter or way of doing something.

 

I would tend to agree with that. For example, in the 1800s, slavery was normal. Does that make it right? No.

 

If you disagree with normal, don't follow it. If people disagree with your viewpoint, present your case, listen to theirs, and if you still believe it stick to your guns.

 

Normal has no more real meaning than faith.
