GeForce Titan X owners club *update*

So I have a 2560x1080 monitor and I'm in love with the thing. If I did upgrade, It would be to another ultra wide, just at a higher res... but I love the thing so much, I see no reason to

Anyways, I KNOW Max Payne isn't a very demanding title... but it was the first game I started up and wow... that frame count... at least I know I'm all set for the Witcher 3 =P

The first Titan X outfitted with an Artic Accelero Xtreme IV runs stable @ 1550 Mhz with mod BIOS! Turns out that GM200 holds a lot of OCing potential, for this is a 50% OC!

So I went over to the HOF to see if my ultra score had been destroyed yet and nope. The fastest 4 way Titan is 26th.

BTW Bios modded X uses 400 W. 400 X 4 =1600W

Houston.... We have a problem

That's not even water cooled. That said with the right modded BIOS and performance custom watercooling I might be able to hit 1600MHz :D. I'm really excited!

Firestrike. I was just looking at the HOF

Firestrike is not the right benchmark. This is a 4K card and everything but FSU is a joke to me.

EDIT: That you see what I mean :).

Air cooled Titan 2way SLIs walk all over 4K scores in 3D Mark's HoF.

Thank you :D. They are up and running. I am so excited to see what I got for all that money :D. And I have ordered all watercooling parts. When I was ordering parts I decided to rework my whole loop :D. All color matching with the AS Rock OC Formula Black and Gold :).

So I was looking for the cheapest Titan X as a possible upgrade, and I found this... Thing...

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-098-BG&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1576

£1666.66 for a 24GB Titan X that boosts to 1493MHz out of the box and comes with some other stuff. I fail to see what the point in this thing is, but I want 2.

LTT's fastest Valley 970, slowest Valley Basic and Extreme HD scores

Some more sexyness :)... or at least the stock cooler looks like it was sexy, unfortunately it doesn´t perform too sexy :D.

Nvidia should reallllyyyyyyyy work on their reference cooler.

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

Staples of LTT: Getting an 4690 K will resurrect your lost family members, AMD = More heat thus AMD = Satan.

The reference cooler was a good thing up to the GTX 980. The only annoying exceptions were the Titan Black and the GTX780Ti. Other than that this cooler rocked. But with this big DIE and crazy raw computing horse power nVidia will have to allow the board partners custom PCB because otherwise I don´t see a chance against the R9 390X.

What kind of clocks are you stable at with the reference cooler? What do your cards boost to?

What kind of clocks are you stable at with the reference cooler? What do your cards automatically boost up to?

Boost in complete stock was 1303MHz and I run them at 1432MHz boost (both cards are linked) in 3D Mark without thermal throttling but the cooler is then at its absolut limits and can´t take anymore beating. It´s getting annoyingly loud. So next we, when I have my full cover waterblocks here the game will change big time. Then with a modded BIOS and amazing temps I see what I can do with these babies.

But even with the stock coolers, don´t be mistaken on the crazy power output of these cards. They might be loud and not fully enabled yet, but still kick ass in 4K so amazing, that I can´t get enough of seeing those babies perform :D.

~303MHz offset from stock without touching a single slider...I like that.  :) I'm quite confident mine will outperform my 780 SLI. I'm going to benchmark my 780s before I install my Titan X.

You mentioned thermals were becoming an issue, so I'm guessing temperatures were in the upper 80s?

It didn´t throttle yet but with my OC and sliders at 110% PT with 91° Celsius I was hitting 85-87° Celsius.

Were you seeing that even with max fan rpm?

No with max fan I saw never more than 62° Celsius with the OC. This was just with the normal fan profile, but I wanted to see where the reference cooler gets in trouble ;).

Anyone know if titan X will have any non-reference card designs such as Evga's ACX cooler or Asus STRIX? Would be upgrading from a single 970 STRIX and going from 1080p gaming to 4k
