Need awesome fans for new PC

Demitri

Ahh... but it depends wheter I win that SP120 from your giveaway :)

right, forgot about givaway, that ended yesterday. I need to pick a winner.

Ap122 is also in my givaway, so if you win you can have that. Ill even give it a fresh lubrication

Ap122 is better for airflow, not great SP

Also, id say the best fan in my givaway is the Aerocool DS 120

My vote goes to a fan controller, and decent inexpensive fans.

@Dimitri ...and your build needs work, you are overpaying a bit.

it does need work, but on what front? I am trying to future proof & put as much horsepower into it as much as humanly possible.

Better CPU cooler, faster RAM, bigger SSD, bigger and better monitor (IPS), and a little cheaper.  This will also support a second GTX 980.  Now I know case is a personal thing and the one you have is not so bad, but is it a "must have"?

$1763

It's definitely cheeper, and i'll give you props for the windforce card I totally forgot about that. though I went with the strix because I heard the fans only turned on when needed. is that something I should still consider? (if the windforce does the same thing I'm going to smack myself in the forehead xD ) As for the case, yes I know it's not the best as there are multiple choices that would be "better" define R5 being one possibility, however the mechatron is the only case besides the level 10 gt snow edition that really speaks to me ya know? and I am not dropping $200 on just a case so the aerocool is staying for now. Thanks nonetheless for all the insight.

Like I said, the case is a personal thing.  If you like it, go for it... as long as it functions well (yours seems to be fine).

The Windforce is a good cooler, but it does not have a hybrid mode like the Strix.

I love the SP and AF series from Corsair. My only downfault is the rubber grommets. But it personally can be worked around for me, since Im a big Corsair fan. (heh, get it)

Does that mean the don't come with any or are you saying you don't like them? just need a little clarifying.

I was looking more into performance than scheme, I need to get around to that though. all red and black is what I was originally aiming for, ROG style in a sense. the aftermarket thermal paste is for the aftermarket cooler, unless they come with some already and I'm just stupid. My intentions for the build are for heavy gaming/recording/editing. I'm just starting out with this stuff so I'm still quite new to the game. Also the red motherboard was changed from the green Ga-G1.sniper M5 from gigabyte. I figured it didn't really look that well with color. I guess half the reason for all the mismatched parts is I'm trying to keep it under $1900  :P

The cooler already comes with aftermarket paste--most do.

I'd recommend something like this instead: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Vfbh8d

Remove the stock case fans and use the NF-P14's for front intake and NF-s12b for rear exhaust.

Im thinking about getting some new fans aswell, Rosewill Hyperboarea or AP122?

Hyperboreas are better.

Does that mean the don't come with any or are you saying you don't like them? just need a little clarifying.

They come with rubber corners.
