Need awesome fans for new PC

Demitri

I am currently researching on how to make an excellent PC & I have all the parts I want, but I want to replace the stock case fans with both silent & performance fans. I was thinking something from Noctua would do the trick but those are really expensive, so I figured the best place to get an answer is the famous linustech forums. I would like to know what 120mm are the best in performance & really quite at the same time. (You can check out the build here if it helps in making a decision http://pcpartpicker.com/p/w4nW7P )

NOCTUA FANS FTW

“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”

I think the H440 from NZXT would be a better choice for case. I know this has nothing to do with fans... but whatever :P

The parts list itself is questionable to begin with.. I'd revise a few things before even recommending new fans.

What's the system being used for? Why the aftermarket thermal paste? What's with the red motherboard and blue ram?

The tests should be taken with a good handful of salt considering how the fans were tested.

BitFenix Spectre Pro?

Spectre Pros are far from quiet and are mediocre at best.

Be quiet silent wings 2 are great, lowered my temps and my system runs noticeably quieter.

It doesn't get much better than SW2's if at all.

I love the SP and AF series from Corsair. My only downfault is the rubber grommets. But it personally can be worked around for me, since Im a big Corsair fan. (heh, get it)

Jetflos are loud.

Only when turned all the way up as are many fans, but yes they can be loud. They are solid performers even when under the 1400 rpm mark where they become near silent and they have hands down the absolute best looking LED fan implementation to date if you're into that sort of thing.

Handing out TechRx's

If money is no object: Noctua, Delta, Cougar, Noiseblocker eLoop, to name a few.

And OP, your case is pig disgusting, but it's just my opinion.

Yeah, it's a really good looking case but not that great for air cooling.

They are far from silent. It's louder than most other fans tested on the channel:

I was looking more into performance than scheme, I need to get around to that though. all red and black is what I was originally aiming for, ROG style in a sense. the aftermarket thermal paste is for the aftermarket cooler, unless they come with some already and I'm just stupid. My intentions for the build are for heavy gaming/recording/editing. I'm just starting out with this stuff so I'm still quite new to the game. Also the red motherboard was changed from the green Ga-G1.sniper M5 from gigabyte. I figured it didn't really look that well with color. I guess half the reason for all the mismatched parts is I'm trying to keep it under $1900 :P

Hmm, not sure, never used the Rosewills, but i would probably say the Rosewills, due to the better bearing type.

Ap122 have sleeve.

Ap122 are also 5-6$ cheaper

Also depends on what your use and location and case for them are.

My vote goes to a fan controller, and decent inexpensive fans.

@Dimitri ...and your build needs work, you are overpaying a bit.
