and its all recorded on facebook chat....its so easy for police to get ahold of facebook chat nowaday its crazy.

they can.

BUT i can reverse the work i did soooo.  yeah. its fair to me.

they out right harassed you im pretty sure a judge would basicly say to the person your a moron stop wasting my time as well as the courts. trust me on this i had a very terrible label that society hates for a very long time.

lol as i said i put a password on the login screen. and even put a encryption password on the use of CMD...so the cmd hack wouldnt work. c:

yeahhhh. that little bit i posted was probably the nicest thing they said to me as i tried to reason with'em. and yeah i forgot to mention i live in a super POOR town as well. you waste the courts time/money you're goin down.

 

I couldn't care less if you were a 400 pound transvestite as long as you have PC skills and are reasonably priced i would let you work on my system :) im in no position to cast judgment on anyone. 

well who knows? i MIGHT be a 400 pound transvestite......im not but that made me laugh. and i used to charge 3$ an hour but i felt i was getting ripped off. so i charge 10$ starting fee. and 5$ after ever hour now. ..most computer work is fast so thats why the fee. soo a typical win 7 instalation = 1 hour. sooo 10$ and then 5$. better then the 100-200$ win 7 CD

your an american citizien and we have certain privelages as american citizens basicly this could even be considered almost like a hate crime and discrimination and if he tried to sue you in anyway hed end up losing pretty damn bad.

I honestly think you're selling yourself short, charge more and maybe you can avoid riffraff like the redneck you mentioned.

Im not at all worried about it. i wont lose sleep really. but i thought it was pretty funny. just wanted to know everyone elses take on this.

The way i see it. tech has nothing to do with sexuality...unless you're gettin jiggy with a robot...then maybe. but other then that. it shouldnt matter at all.

as i stated :P this is a poor town. and most computer work is...rather easy. so if it IS hard then they pay alot. and i score big. like the windows error 124. hate that shyt.

but on topic though: You should keep your personal life out of your professional/business life. It just prevents conflicts. Now, I am sorry that somebody treated you like that, I know it isn't easy since I have been through the same crap, but in the case of that persons computer I would have wiped the HDD and told them to pick up their PC and have someone else fix it(and yes it sucks that you worked on something and didn't get payed). For the poll, I don't care what sexuality you or anybody else is, so if I didn't know about computers I wouldn't have a problem(I'm not an asshole either, for the most part).

thats the thing. i do try to keep my professional and personal life separate. because personally im an asshole :P.

But back on topic. Yes i'd let you work on my computer. If i as a bisexual looked down on another non-hetero person i would be the worlds largest hypocrite.

For the most part i don't really care what or who you are. If you can fix it. Then you are the person i need.

$15 for working on a computer is really cheap

I would have no problem with you working on my computers if that is what the question is.

 

Most the jobs in the town are minwage / below min wage :P have to keep it cheap.......the other computer shop charges 96$ for a diagnosis.

Eventhough I'm still not certain what demisexual means, and how it's connected to homosexuality, I don't see it as a reason not to pay you.

You offered a service, and they should have payed you for that.

 

I don't care if you serviced their computer wearing a giraf suit and refused to speak anything but Klingon, if it doesn't affect the service, it shouldn't affect the pay.

actually he wouldn't be forced to return the computer... the other guy has no proof it's his and he doesn't have a receipt proving he paid for repairs. So technically he could have kept it  B)

Who says only for 15 bucks? Up your price for court to like 300 or 400 bucks, you probably won't get that but you will piss them the fuck off and send a strong message, plus you'll probably be awarded 100 to 200 bucks.

Being the guy that just bricks laptops is to me worst than being the guy who stands up for himself in court. But then again I am the kind of guy who yelled at her boss in public and came within an inch of quitting his job out of principle just yesterday. So I'll defer to your judgement here not everyone is an idealist.
