ok, so the way i'm going to put this is sorta unorganized, but screw it.

 

So i'm christian, somewhat, i'm raised in a christian home and my parents have strong beliefs, But i'm not the same, I believe in the basic principles, and i believe being gay is a sin, But its not the same as some other peoples views.

I am going to disagree with your life choices, But what i am not going to do is criticize you or punish you for them, Its not my place, and its not my job. I'm more neutral than anything else, I don't like it, But i don't care, You do a job, Who cares, That's like saying this. I'm a brony, and im working on someones computer, And once im done, and i state the payment like you did, And they say "fuck off ya pony fucker" its not fair to me, as they are making assumptions that, that has anything to do with the work ive done, and if they were gay, they would be the biggest hypocrites ive known. But, If you do the job without your personal life interfering, They have no reason to deny you payment

So Mr uwillparish, you are never going to have sex for pleasure?  Only for procreation?  The answer is no.  So someone could look at your desire to want to f*ck as a sin.  How does that sit with you?

The guy who's refusing to pay him seems to feel he's justified in his refusal.

 

Also, I'm not defending him. It's not an "either or situation". This isn't just a 'cut and dried' 'black and white', 'gay or straight' situation.

 

You could literally reduce this stuff down to a formula, literally, and trust me, it's not just a binary proposition.

Speaking of not binary things, sexuality is also not binary :P

 

Yes, this is a cut and dry situation. By giving the OP his laptop to fix, he entered into a contract in which he would give the guy money for him to work on his computer. At the end of the contract, the guy didn't give him the money. He can't say "Well I don't have to pay you because you're demisexual." He owes him $15 for services rendered, if he does not want the services at the end, too bad. You can't get your car washed and then go "Oh, actually, I don't want it washed" and drive away without paying.

 

Also, write up an agreement for yourself and the consumer outlining your rights to things handed over to you in the event you will not be paid.

 

This, you can find lots of free contracts online that you're allowed to edit for your own uses, I would suggest getting one of those. Keep in mind, a contract does not need to be in legal terms to be valid, a plain English contract is still completely valid. 

 

I don't know what to say to you man, it sounds like the guy's got a screw loose. There's a time and a place for making a stand but I don't think this is it.

 

Just text the guy his password and (if you can do so truthfully) tell him that you had no idea that he would have been so upset by this and that had you known you wouldn't have taken the job.

 

...and yes, I know things shouldn't have to be like that, but we don't live in a perfect world.

Why should he give him the password? The guy is clearly in the wrong, from both a moral/social standpoint, and a legal one. He shouldn't get free service just because he has some belief against the OP.
