I don't understand anime?

The only anime I have ever been able to follow was Eureka Seven and I loved it. I can't get into any other anime shows not even pokemon.

I don't understand it and can't get into it xD to me its lazy animation to0 >_<

I go through spurts where I really like my Anime, but usually I'll watch things like Claymore, Fullmetal Alchemist, Persona 4 The Animation, Vandread, Linebarrels of Iron, Kurokami the Animation, R.O.D. Read or Die, Zoids, Spice and Wolf, Please Teacher!, Please Twins!, Full Metal Panic, Clannad, Kanon... I have trouble getting into new shows so these are kind of my personal staples. If anyone wants to give it a go, I don't think you can go wrong here, with the exception of the two Please! series', Clannad, and Kanon, as those are very niche anime, but not the nichest of what's in my personal collection.

"School Days" and It had a huge impact on me when it ended and it had a very powerful message.

Oh wow, great start haha, yeah that one is one of a kind mate, persoanly i like anime shows, not all but after watching a fair number of them i pretty much know what genre to get into. Oh and id recomend code geass to anyone that like mechs and world domination with crazy characters and something thats not gundam.

Some anime and manga is really great. I recently got into Attack on Titan, and it's simply bad-ass. If you like gory anime in a dystopian society, then you should really give it a shot. Still, anime isn't for everyone so maybe that's why some people don't like it/can't get into it.

My suggestions if you enjoy Sci-fi anime:

Gurren Lagaan

Vandread

Cowboy Bebop

Trigun

Suisei no Gargantia

Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are only 24 episode each (I believe, they could be 26) and each has a movie or two.

They are the "classics" of 90's anime. Generally, people either love or hate them, and most love them.

Gurren Lagaan is usually held in high regard. It's either 26 episodes or 52. I want to say 26.

It looks really silly to me, plus I like real actors with real expression and emotion. I'll take Game of Thrones, Suits, Breaking bad, Dexter, The Walking Dead, etc. over anime any day.

I feel like I would like a lot of anime.  I'm a fan of intricate narratives and character development.  But I'm so lazy when it comes to trying new shows/music/games so I don't really watch any of it.  I don't watch TV period these days. :lol:

 

I've mostly watched mainstream anime, like DBZ, Naruto, One Piece, Pokemon (if that's even a real anime), Yu-Gi-Oh!, and similar.  I remember being pretty into some Toonami shows like Rurouni Kenshin and Inuyasha, but that was a while back.

 

I want to learn Japanese at some point in my life, so maybe then I'll get into anime. :P

Attack on Titan was great I will be buying the English version as soon as it is released so i can re watch it and understand it more since i had to read the subtitles the first time. <_< I hate to read...

I'm one of those people who loves anime due to their humour and adult theme which I cannot find in normal cartoons :)

Western company's probably wont give funding to cartoons that aren't aimed at children, I'm surprised this isn't changing with the success of shows like my little pony among teen males.

Ok, thats fine but did you mention this because you're interested in finding more stuff you like? What do you think it is about Eureka 7 that you liked but aren't getting from other anime you've tried?
