College Admissions suck...

so i applied for a couple universities, last year all i did was slack off and my gpa was a 77 (it went from a 81 at the end of last year, to a 77 at the beginning of my current senior year, and i dont know why,. ) so i knew that the colleges i want to get into wont accept my grades. i applied to Pace university which was my first choice, and a couple of city schools. when pace didnt like my grades they asked for my current year grades (higher 80's easy for me to get accepted) but the city schools that i applied for denied my application and didnt ask me for my current grades. why is that? 

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

maybe they expected you to have crappy grades again this year?

a 77 isnt even that crappy, arent they supposed to ask you? and i applied for 2 city colleges and both denied me.

As someone on their way out of college I don't have anything good to say about college as a whole. To avoid a rant the summary is they are bigger, bloated, and often frustrating versions of whatever lower level school you're coming from.

What is the highest GPA for you? Its different in the US

i am in the US, new york to be exact. its such a bad experiance applying.

That's odd, my high school GPA was measured on a 4 point scale. What is the top end of the scale you use? 100?

yea its a % grade.

TBH it kindof is, I got an 85 average last semester and I'm stil upset about it. Especially with AP classes a 77 is a mediocre, and a bit under everage.

I guess so, my parents have really high expectations and my siblings are all doing great (sis1 chemistry professor at 25 and rejected MIT because she felt like it, sis2 getting into auburn easily, and bro1 being valedictorian at one of the top schools in the nation).

good for them. im an 80's student, i just became stupid in the most important year of high school and got into the 70's (originally 83 at the end of 11th grade but changed into a 77 over the summer. idk how or why.)

A 77 is terrible. 77% translates to a 2.3 GPA which won't get you anywhere. 

but their supposed to ask you for your mid-term grades of the current year if you have bad grades. they didnt ask me for that.
