Gtx 770 sc , or 2 gtx 680 sli config?

so i was offered either a gtx 770sc , or 2 gtx 680's in sli 

 

which would be better ? (i understand the 770 is a rebranded upgraded gtx 680)

the current list of dead cards is as follows 2 evga gtx 980ti acx 2.0 , 1 evga gtx 980 acx 2.0 1600mhz core 2100mhz ram golden chip card ... failed hardcore , 1 290x that caught fire , 1 hd 7950 .

I would go with the 680s.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I say the 680's

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

770's run their memory at 7ghz. Which makes them scale a little better. Since the 680's achilles heel is the memory bandwidth.

Then why are you asking us if you should take one 680 or two? ;) get the 2, the 770 is a little higher clocked but nothing that can't be fixed with a little oc, so even in gmes that don't support SLI you won't loose any performance. Dual 680s are a win/win scenario.
