So a man on youtube by the name of DIYperks has made the most silent computer ever. (Not really, but it is very creative, Also, possibly the most silent non passive machine because of it's fans and HDD's)

I have a  open air test bench that sits right next to my ear, soooo nope.

Im going passive and ssd only... so... it literally CANT make noise. (At the moment though the parts are supposed to sound like jet engines, stock coolers and all, but im halgway through this)

The only fan that really makes my rig "Loud" on my system is the one that came with my 212 Evo, mounted at the top of my case, at 100% 60% of the time...

 

Doesn't come close to the F-22's that buzz my house all the time tho!

My rig is actually pretty darn silent but I like to keep the intake fans at 100% to maintain positive air pressure inside the case.

I use in-ear headphones to keep all noise out.

This guy took too many extreme steps to make his PC quiet.

 

I consider myself one of the silence-nazis out there and I'm trying to get my PC as silent as possible. My HDD is the next thing that has to go. :D

Thanks to my 7950, no. My 480 at the lowest fan speed is freaking quieter than it. :(

I am fairly sure there are a bunch of 100% passively cooled systems out there so I doubt this is the quietest pc.

My Main PC isn't silent. I'm looking more into silencing my HTPC with a few changes to hardware but none of the systems I run are silent. Mind you they don't sound like a plane taking off like the ones in the Music Department at my school.
