most of that horse head build was done through feel instead of sight - the only issue is the individual headers because different boards do it differently and it can be hard to identify

 

I don't mean to brag, but honestly it's not that hard... there are notches on everything, feel the notch, feel the other notch... line it up... voila

Didn't mean it that way at all - I more meant that the contest would be more boring than it sounds... now if we were blindfolded and in a rapidly moving card racing to an objective and had to build the computer before we got there? sure

Well if luke can throw a USB and kill a server. I'm sure he can do anything else. He probably builds and benchmarks subconsciously when he gets home. HE IS A MACHINE!

That would be very fun to watch. Get linus to lower the lambo and keep the balding tyres on it. Maybe make it super soft and have insane body roll. Many missing screws.

I assume you meant to say car race?

I guess that would be cool but just if you all ever get bored and like.. need a video idea (although I don't know if you ever don't have anything to do)

I know blind people who have built their own PCs. And yes, getting FP cables is only hard thing. And even that can be done by trial and error or with someone reading order from manual. The really hard part is BIOS setup since it doesn't work with aid programs like NVDA and Jaws.

 

Last time I changed my SATA setup, I did it by feel.

tried it before with some old e5300 on some friendly drunk contest and it didn't went good but hey this is a great Idea and I support it :)

 

they should work on really high end stuff to make the thrill for them for interesting (can be for the viewers too).

 

lol it'd make it more interesting if they are doing custom loop too. just thinking about spilling all those water or fluid all over gives me a good thrill already. (although it's not something I'd do personally)

It's easier for someone who's blind than someone who can usually see to build a computer without being able to see.
