What generation of i3? Because an FX 8370 is pretty much on par with an i3 4th gen in nearly all tasks.

Not sure probably older got it around 2012

I had an i3 but switched to a FX 8370. More bang for the buck

 

I'm moving the other way. In the process of migrating to LGA 1150. Going from an FX 9370 to an i3.

excellent choice , plays almost all new gen games perfectly! you wont be dissapoint

intel and amd are both old technology really,  neither one is capable of tasks i need to do which is why i power my gaming pc with the 3 seashells from demolition man.

What is the point of these threads?

Pascal Undervolting topic, get more out of your card with less power!

Why high refreshrate monitors look better even without Freesync/G-sync in one image.
Stutters, framedrops, "lag". How to provide detailed information with your "bottleneck" question, as well as a few solutions.

I didn't know Intel/AMD made power supplies :P

 

Intel power my 3 main rigs though, main PC (i5 4690K), test bench (X5450/Q9650), laptop (i3 3217u).

 

But AMD lives in 2 of my other computers (a8 5600k + fx8320) :D

Really? What speed is it running at? I had mine at 2.4GHz stock and it was AWFUL for any demanding titles like BF3/BF4 multiplayer

This is a perfect post for a poll BTW. I think Intel would dominate systems just because of the wide price points and versatility, while AMD has not had a clear marketing plan for their lineup. And many people that I know who have an AMD system are actually looking to upgrade to Intel....

 

But yeah, I have an i5-4670k in my main gaming system, i5-3330 in my media computer, and even a Core2Duo in my old laptop lol.

It's a 3.0Ghz but like I said...  It performs well for the games I want to play.  I don't play BF3 or 4 cause EA...

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.
