Earphones sound crap on S4

Then there's something wrong with the pin spacing.

yeah, i returned it to the store and it apparently only works on xperia z phones. The lady there tested it with her iphone and it wasn't working well too. So i exchanged it to a Phillips Foldie Citiscape (sounds decent to me, but idk ,not a audiophile and all that. :P)

So, I've got the Sony MDR-NC31EM and when i plug it in my phone and play some music the instruments are clear but the singer's voice barely exists. Put it in my laptop's jack and it sounds fine.

Further testing shows that it flats out doesn't work with mobile devices.(ipad 2s,s5s) only Laptop.

How strange. The vocals is muted but the instrumentals works perfectly fine.

Are you sure you pushed the earphones jack tightly into the phone?

yeah, its jammed in pretty good.

So even watching YouTube doesn't work. For example I can barely hear Linus but when the intro comes it blows my ear off.On laptop it works fine
