Doing a full UEFI mode install on Windows 8/8.1/10

Master Disaster

Snip

Please excuse my ignorance

I have successfully flashed my GPU vBIOS to a UEFI GOP compatible one provided by Sapphire itself.

Now when I disable CSM and boot I get the following message

I assume its due to Windows being installed in Legacy mode rather than UEFI. Or is something else incompatible. With my old GPU BIOS I used to get my VGA graphics isn't comaptible and CSM has been re-enabled message, but nothing like that this time.

Thanks for your time.....

So, I am trying to install Windows 7 on UEFI based system (ASUS X99, Core i7-5960X, GeForce GTX 980, 16GB of RAM, no OC).

Windows 7 setup is stuck at "Starting Windows" after it loaded itself. It just remains there. Nothing happens.

Ok I got it to work by doing this:

http://superuser.com/questions/660831/boot-windows-7-with-uefi

And set the UEFI setup to "Other-OS" instead of "Windows-UEFI".

The BIOS splash screen is no native resolution however, and well, not full UEFI support, which makes sense as Win7 isn't.

Windows 7 did create 3 partitions in the setup.

Oh and if anyone wonders, it is not my computer... I wish it was, but it isn't :)

Update: Once installed, for the first startup the system BSOD with "MACHINE_CHECK" error.

I had to set the UEFI back to legacy mode, and everything worked fine (installing drivers now). I did update the UEFI that didn't help, and I do have Win7 SP1 disk.

So it looks like that Windows 7 is not UEFI ready.

I'm really sorry for the delay, for some reason I'm not getting notified when users reply here?

Anyway could you please do another picture but this time go into UEFI and take a snap of the CSM settings then post it back here.
