Upgrading from HD 7750, which GPU should I buy?

Looking to buy a new GPU, would like to spend as little as possible, but still get a performance gain from my HD 7750. Maybe something that can play Far Cry 4 at 1080p on medium or something like that. Doesn't matter if AMD or Nvidia, thank you in advance

R9 280 will handle Far Cry 3 easily I wouldn't spend the money on a GTX 960, it's not worth the extra cash tbh

You can't compare clock speeds/#of cores between different cards/chips/architectures.

It will but its not worth it honestly , i would recommend you to get at least a 270 if you want a significant upgrade.

270x is a overclocked 270 , if its cheaper get the 270x.

 

Depends on your resolution , at 1080p is quite decent for high settings gaming.

 

Its not a 1080p ultra card however.

Honestly at 1920x1080/1200 monitor resolutions these cards do make a lot of sense as all modern games produce average framerates in the 40 to 50 FPS with pretty heavy image quality settings.
