Something to raise case from carpet

ignorethisone

Hello.I have recently completed a PC build and am currently keeping my case under my table on a carpeted floor. I have no room on the table, because it is a corner desk with built in shelves and barely allowes room for my 27" desk. Is there any device (small shelf, wodden plank, etc) that I can purchase or make (money is no major issue but I want save where I can) that will raise my case (nzxt h440) a few inches higer off the carpet.

*I also do Care about how it looks.. A scrap ugly price of wood won't do. Hopefully it can add more functionality to my desk area (storage etc).

thanks in advane :)

Get a piece of wood and stain + coat it?

hmm. I'm not even decent with any types of paint. Another idea I had was going to IKEA and checking out their shelving units. They often sell peices seperatly and I might be able to get a nice peice of wood or something

Two options.

OPTION A:

Go to nearest hardware store and buy a sheet of either either spruce, birch, etc ply, or a sheet of fir good one side, if you got the bills (some stores might have smaller take home panels (i.e. 2x4 or 4x4, but they will have a bullshit markup).

Find a stain similar to your desk (assuming it's a wooden desk), or just get a clear varnish, etc and stain the sheet. Place it on the ground, attach to desk if desired. Tada.

OPTION 2:

Complete option a, but make sure you get a full sheet of ply, and make an addition onto your desk.

EDIT: It appears you don't want to stain.

Im sure you can find a small piece of white MDF somewhere, and just cut it out into a square slightly larger than your PC, plop it on that, or even attach it to desk, etc.

It's really easy to do, just follow instructions for it and you can't really mess it up.

Thank you for a detailed reply :) I was actually just looking at the IKEA website and found smaller versions of the desk I bought! I may be able to purchase one of those or a side unit that perfectly matches my desk!http://m.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/series/17499/
