Seriously? 9/11? The holocaust was many magnitudes worse.  Or did that just cease to exist?

While I would agree, the United States was obligated to respond with a much heavier attack.  Plus, they probably saved a year of war, and saved hundreds of american soldier's lives by doing so.

Yes, I wasn't saying otherwise...of course the use of such a weapon against civilians is a different thing than casualties in battle...but Truman did what he had to do from an american point of view...

holocaust is one of the most saddening... but to be just a little bit different i would have gone with the whole period before the medieval age... if you have seriously studied history you will know that in those moments men weren't much different from animals...

actually every time i see a film about wars i feel bad, the whole war periods are sad, thats my final answer!

The Cold War, in both sides intellectuals and citizens were threatened for not blindly following the propaganda from their state, mass rationing of common household items, and poor organization causing starvation.

For me it's the black death. 

The black death (Bubonic plague) Wiped out a good portion of the worlds population and it must have been terrible to see whole villages die without being able to do anything.

it's true that,in total numbers, world war 2 had way more deads, however, in proportion with population growth and density of population world war 1 had a way bigger impact on the world
