Use keyboard as mouse physically (KeyMouse)

Do you wish that you can use your keyboard as a mouse? like physically ? well thanks to KeyMouse they " re-invented " both the keyboard & mouse.

The KeyMouse™ is a keyboard and a mouse.  It allows users to operate the mouse without moving their hands out of typing position.  No more moving your hand back and forth between the keyboard and mouse.

Technical Specifications

  • High Speed Bluetooth 3.0 (we're considering adding an additional USB interface, also.  Let us know if this is something you want).
  • High Resolution Laser Mouse Sensor under both the left and right KeyMouse (either side can be disabled with a switch on the bottom of the device).  Resolution up to 3,200 cpi.
  • Estimated battery life of 6 months with average use if we use AA batteries (our current prototype is using rechargeable batteries - we'd like feedback to know if you'd prefer rechargeable batteries or standard AA batteries that can be easily switched out.)
  • Full QWERTY keyboard including all function keys
  • Dimensions of one side of the prototype (left KeyMouse) are: 7.25" x 5.5" x 2.3" tall.  Based on feedback, we'll likely make the final product slightly wider in order to space the QWERTY keys just a little more.  We want to keep it as compact as possible, but at the same time make it easy to type fluently.
  • Weight for 1 side is 9.7 ounces. The actual finished product weight will be slightly different. We definitely want to keep it as light as possible. (In comparison, a Microsoft Intellimouse is 5.2 ounces.)  I've been using the prototypes, and they are definitely easy to move. There are large teflon feet on the bottom to help it slide nicely.
  • Operating systems: Windows, Mac, (Software has currently been developed for Windows.  We are planning to develop software for Mac also.)  Basic keys and mouse feature on the device work with no drivers.  Basic features work on Linux.  Software can be developed for Linux if demand is high enough.  The software is necessary for special keys (such as arrow shift, number shift, arrow with mouse, etc,) and programming.  Keys and thumb buttons are customizable using the desktop software.  The keyboard portion works on iOS (not fully tested). Keyboard and mouse portion works with some Android devices.

I don't even hold my hands like that because I don't sit stupidly close to a desk/my keyboard.

Stupid concept really, sorta impractical, not even useful for a laptop becauase it's not as easy as just slipping in a bluetooth keyboard in your bag.

Reading the title I thought it was going to be some kind of software that allows you to use your keyboard to perform mouse functions. Was about to say there's nothing special about catching keyboard events and changing them into mouse events. Come to find out this looks even more stupid than what I was thinking.

Split up keyboard is a plus, gives you the ability to put it in a comfy distance form each other.

The fact that you need to use one as mouse amd they are shaped towards a hand however ruins the nice thing.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

Looks like it'll hurt my wrist and my typing speed... No thanks...

Also I use a smaller keyboard than illustrated and I don't have that problem...

Either that guy has gigantic hands and is sitting too close or that is one tiny keyboard...
