What is the most underwhelming/unimpressive piece of tech you own?

For me it's my Acer W700.
The keyboard is has no travel distance and the layout is crap so you can't do anything that is productive on it.

I paid $1200 for it, what a waste

Acer Icona W510.

I didn't pay for it, but it is just such a piece of shit beyond belief.

1.6ghz Atom that is at 100% constantly, its 2gb of 800mhz "DDR3" and its Intel HD Graphics probably from the 1st generation Core series.

UNUSABLE touchscreen with many dead spots.

AWFUL touchpad.

PAPER build quality.

It can't play videos, it can't run many programs (no 64bit), it lags in EXPLORER and MSWORD. The CPU compares to a TURION. Even that thing has 64-bit and it's from 2005.

Never again am I touching an Icona. Travelmates, fine. Aspires, fine. Veritons, fine. Icona, nopenopenope.

Intel Centrino is not a processor.

It is a platform consisting of an Intel CPU, Chipset and Wireless card.

Basically its marketing bullshit.

I've heard you can install Linux distros on Chromebooks. Maybe you could find a lightweight OS to make it more useful? From my understanding, Chromebooks currently only do Chrome and other offline extensions.

You can, but installing a linux distro on a chromebook is pretty clunky (moreso than windows machines) and half the stuff didn't work right when I gave it a spin. Plus, when running a linux distro, it boots up way slower and doesn't actually add much functionality because of the reletively underpowered hardware. I'm living with chrome OS atm and it's not horrible. it does the job.

My now pulled-apart, and thrown in the dump (literally) Strike-X Advance.

$70 for a case that has horrid cable management, an almost completely plastic body (just thin metal frame/mobo panel) and the fans do nothing but serve as a nightlight for ants.

Edit:

I once sat on it just because it was the closest thing and it had nothing in it...

And it fking bent and had this huge dip on the top and the front/back had actually crumpled a little bit. And I'm very far from overweight.

Cooler Master Elite 431 Plus case as it has poor cooling as well as shitty cable management.

I do research for everything I buy, I can sit for hours reading comparisons, or I will borrow one from a friend or go to a shop to try it, or I will watch multiple reviews and get opinions from friends

if I buy something impulsive, its because its fucking awesome

I only spend money on things I need or want

Our router, which isn't really mine, but it sucks. It can not go 2 hours without a 5 minute break, I'm always that guy that loses connection when I'm playing with friends.

Second is my Logitech G930, bought it refurbished, and I'm glad i didn't pay the full price for it. Stereo is just broken, and surround doesn't sound very impressive now that i tried a pair of DT990's. The mic is really good however, i still use it for Skype calls.

Yeah I have the G930. It was a refurb as well, but it decided to quit working so Logitech sent me a brand new pair.

I have had nothing but trouble. Random disconnects, seems to kill all my micro usb cables, almost no bass, more bass on one side than the other... Only thing I can say good about them is... well they work sometimes.
