In ear? Over ear? on ear?

It seems impossible until it's done.

Find a good deal on Sennheiser Momentum's, got a pair for my HTC One for when I go out.

Best $220 I have ever spent on headphones for mobile use.

Ath m50x is worse than the ath 900x yet the exact same price, go with the ath 900x unless you plan on running or working out. In that case, get earbuds.

Check the title, specifically asked for a portable headphone.

Sony mdr1r is the best mobile headphone imo. I like it better than both the cop and the m40x/m50x.

A lot of people don't like that treble tho.

I didn't notice there was a treble spike? Then again I like my treble so maybe it just flew over my head haha

Its there, and I like my treble too, which is why I like the 1R.

I like my Logitech UE6000.  Portable, supposedly has built-in active noise cancellation (although it's more of a built-in amp than NC).

Eh, worse? Maybe? In your (and my) opinion, probably.  AD-series isn't for everyone, in a world dominated by bass heavy music, Audio-Technica sticks to their guns :P

Urbanites maybe? Though the over-ear is over budget.
